Sebastian’s interest in inclusive and sustainable decision-making is inspired by his background in peace research and conflict resolution. He is an experienced analyst of political conflicts and human security policy, having held different positions in the think tank and media industries.
In addition to his work on international affairs, Sebastian has a passion for enabling dialogue and informed policy-making on how to build more sustainable communities and economies. He is engaged in several public consultation and dialogue processes in the Vancouver region. At Carbon Talks, Sebastian assists in planning and delivering citizen engagement projects with a focus on transportation in Metro Vancouver.
Sebastian holds a Masters in political science and modern history from Freiburg University, Germany, and he has received training in conflict analysis, mediation and facilitation at Uppsala University, Sweden, and the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
