Ashley Knapp is a research assistant with Carbon Talks. She is a recent graduate from Royal Roads University’s Master of Arts in Environmental Education and Communication program. Her research explored worldviews and emotions preventing political engagement for climate change, through an ecopsychological lens. She is passionate about climate change solutions.
She is also the program coordinator at the Institute for Environmental Learning, a vibrant network of researchers and practitioners focused on formal and informal environmental education. She has led the development of a new website and focuses on engaging and coordinating members. Ashley’s background consists of communications and administration tasks within the sustainability sector, including writing, website development, event planning, promotion, and public relations.
Originally from Ottawa, Ashley moved to Vancouver four years ago. She enjoys exploring the West Coast’s great outdoors, hiking, travelling, and sailing. She has also recently taken up snowboarding.
