The Trottier Energy Futures Project

The Trottier Energy Futures Project

The Trottier Energy Futures Project (TEFP) is a research and modeling effort to determine how Canada can dramatically reduce its emissions of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that are the primary cause of global climate change. By the time it finishes its work at the end of December 2013, the Trottier Energy Futures Project (TEFP) will chart a course for Canada to cut its energy-related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 80% below 1990 levels by 2050. To get anywhere near the target, fossil fuel consumption and related emissions will have to decline about as quickly as they’ve grown in the last 100 years.
